"Grind Out" Mentors
Grind Out boasts fantastic volunteers, coaches, and referees that help our youth here in the community. Each mentor not only influences but offers guidance while working with them. Our top priority is maintaining academic standards, all the while keeping active and in shape.
We are thankful for everyone who helped make our program, Summer Grind, a success!
Meet the Mentors
Zy'Rique Bradford
My name is Coach Zy'Rique Bradford, born & raised in Camden SC. I am going into my 2nd year as a collegiate basketball coach but my first year at Voorhees University. The game of basketball is a life-changer tool that can create endless opportunities for athletes on & off the court.
Summer Grind Out League opened up opportunities for many athletes to be great in all areas of life. My motto in everything is to #BeDIfferent , how can we continue to make a difference in other lives by being different?
Lawrence Moses Jr.
I am married to Angela Reames-Moses together we are the parents of 7 children and grandparents to 10. I am an electrician by trade but I have a passion for coaching basketball which I have been doing for over 25 years in the recreation league. I've coached lots of children including my own and now I have the pleasure of coaching my grandchildren. The winning championship is great but building positive relationships, mentoring, and making lasting friendships with parents is what makes coaching such an impact in my life.
Kenneth Lee Jr.
My name is Kenneth Lee Jr. I am a mentor down at Jackson Teen Center. We will not only be doing sports activities for our kids we will be mentoring them and talking to them daily about their school work and if they are getting the proper care away from school. I am excited with being a mentor for these kids at Team Jackson Center under Mr. Brian Mayes and Mrs. Roberta Langley.
Coach John Drakeford
Its a pleasure coaching the kids. In the first year of Grind Out summer league basketball. Teaching the kids about not only basketball. But life itself. Coach John, has been a coach for 27 years. He helped lead a girls soft ball team to a state championship, 8 years in a row. Coach John is one of the favorite coaches here at Grind Out.
